This Website is maintained by a group of friends living in Wellington, New Zealand who get together frequently, often for no other reason than to be uninhibitedly Filipino.

"Barangay" means village in Pilipino. It is the basic community unit in the Philippines, so Barangay Wellington means "Wellington Village" - our village away from home, where everyone knows everyone else, and is always willing to pitch in for whatever cause.
